Lesson Rates (GST included)
Lessons begin with instruction on proper handling, grooming and tacking of the horse for beginners. In the lesson we can cover the basics of balance, steering and stopping on up to specialized work for a particular discipline such as jumping, dressage, working western or pleasure riding!
~One Hour Private - One on one time $40.00
~One Hour Semi-Private - Two Riders $30.00 each
~One Hour Group lesson- 3-4 Riders $25.00 each
~One and 1/2 Hour Group lesson - 3-4 Riders $30.00 each
This lesson will provide a little bit more time for a larger group if desired
~1/2 Hour Lesson - Private $25.00
~1/2 Hour Lesson -Semi-Private $20.00
These lessons are great for young children or riders who may find one full hour to be to demanding
Longe Line Lesson - 1/2 hour -$25.00
These lessons are used to familiarize new riders with the feel of the horse and to develop balance, or to work on the seat , feel and balance of experienced riders. The instructor moves the horse on a long line around in a circle at different speeds and directs the rider through some fun stretching and balance exercises. These lessons are done only on well trained school horses.
Tiny Tots - 20 min - $15.00
We like to start them young here at Hoof-Haven! Tiny tots lessons are for the young riders not yet able to participate in a full lesson. The young ones are introduced to the horses, and able to interact with, touch and see them, They are led by an instructor and spotted by a parent or guardian who will walk along side for the duration of the lesson. We will play games and do some simple stretching exercises. These lessons are designed to familiarize the tots with the horses at an early age. The motion of riding is excellent to develop balance and the experience will activate all of their senses, and hopefully instill a life long love for riding!
At Hoof-Haven riding lessons run all year round as the indoor arena is heated! Regardless of the weather outside, we can provide a safe and comfortable climate controlled environment for horses and riders!

Pre-booked Monthly Package
A monthly lesson package consists of FOUR lessons , your choice of type, that must be pre-paid and pre booked in advance. You save fifteen percent off the total price of the lessons for pre - purchasing and booking in this fashion. These lessons however are NON-transferable. They must be used during the booked times.

At Hoof Haven my main goal is to educate, whether it be on riding, horse care, or horse training. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to instill knowledge and confidence in my students, to see them grow with their horses, and accomplish things they have always dreamed of...or perhaps maybe never dreamed of!
Riding lessons are offered for a variety of disciplines, both English and Western, and for all riding levels whether its your first ride or another championship show.
Lessons can help you achieve a better bond with your horse, a safer relationship, a more pleasurable trail ride, or more ribbons in the show ring.
If you don' t have a horse suitable for what you wish to learn, or perhaps don't own a horse at all, Hoof Haven can provide you with a safe, trustworthy School horse to help you meet the challenge!

Hoof-Haven Riding School!
This program is designed to teach horse enthusiasts from beginner riders up to those in the competitive end of things more about horse care, horsemanship and riding!
The classes will consist of two lessons per week, one theory session and one arena riding session. Class size will be limited to FOUR students per class. Multiple classes will be run if the demand is there! Classes will run in three month sessions. The first set of classes will Run Mid September to Early December. The Second set of classes will run from Mid January to Mid April.
Beginner Classes will include such things as an introduction to horse safety, feeding of the horse, basic health care requirements of the horse, parts of the horse, the different gaits, teeth, tack care, parts of the saddle and bridle and more! The riding sessions will include and introduction to riding, correct position and balance, various methods of control, riding the different gaits, and an introduction to different disciplines such as pleasure, horsemanship patterns, showmanship in hand, trail and gymkhana!
Intermediate/Advanced classes will cover a more in depth look at the physiology of the horse, conformation form to function, evaluating the horse, lameness and blemishes, complex feeding and feed analize, disease control and prevention, first aid and health management. The riding sessions will cover more advanced techniques, riding one handed, further progression into various disciplines such as pleasure, horsemanship patterns, Reining, Equitation, Trail and Gymkhana.
During the class sessions there will be an opportunity for students to write and ride their Equine Canada Rider Level tests if they choose to do so for only a $15.00 fee! There will be NO charge from Hoof-Haven for this service for those participating in the Riding School!
The cost for riding school will be $480 plus GST for each three month session. This is an exceptional value. Students will get TWELVE theory and TWELVE riding lessons for this exceptional price!
Lesson horses will be available for no extra charge on a first come first serve basis! The first beginner course will run every Tuesday and Thursday Starting at 6:30 starting September 14th and running until December 3rd. Intermediate/Advanced Class will run at 7:30 on the same dates.
